Overview
Western Wind owns more than 4,000 acres of fee simple land and leases more than 22,000 acres in California and Arizona. Most of the Western Wind land has been zoned and permitted for wind development. The company is currently producing 34.5 megawatts of energy generated through 503 operating turbines. Western Wind has long-term Power Purchasing Agreements in place for an additional 154.5 megawatts of energy. The agreements in place carry a value of more than US$1 billion over the next 20 years, including the Production Tax Credit granted by the federal government.
